Love comes in different languages for each individual. Some prefer the language of gifts, others prefer action. Action can mean from doing things that one normally doesn’t do and do it just for the spouse or partner. Actions that speak of love can mean that one will do the moping of the floor just because.
One will also go all the way to some place even if it’s inconvenient just to show that one loves the partner. This is because the spouse prefers to know that this is the way they are being loved. Bringing the children home after work when your spouse is busy cleaning the house can also mean an act of service to him/her.
Different acts of service will appeal to your spouse or partner. Asking if this will make them feel good also helps in aiding you to make them feel happy and secure. Walking them to the vehicle just as they go to work may mean a lot to some. Although in Singapore, walking one’s husband to the car or public transport may not be feasible as both could be working hard for the family, it is still a good feeling knowing that one is being loved.
