Volunteers don’t get paid, not because they’re worthless, but because they’re priceless. ~ Sherry Anderson ~ [Source]
While many of us are fortunate enough to have families with us, we forget that there are people without families. These may range from orphans to the elderlies. Even without money, we can volunteer our time. For those who wished to let their children know of how fortunate they are, or just want to spend some time with children, the orphanage is a good place to start.

While young children may not be able to volunteer, it can also be a good way to inform them of the benefits of volunteering. They just need to spend some time with the less fortunate and realise that they have a purpose in life or find their purpose in life in future.
Volunteering time doesn’t take much of us and there is a sense of joy at seeing the happy grins from the people we just spent some time with. Even an inexpensive gift brings out such a huge smile that we feel warm in our hearts. When bringing joy to someone makes you happy, let your family share the joy of helping others.
If you bring a smile to a child whose health is failing when no amount of medicine will cure the illness, you have made the child’s day. Kindness brings happiness. Have you made someone’s day yet?
