Love is the total absence of fear. Love asks no questions. Its natural state is one of extension and expansion, not comparison and measurement. ~ Gerald Jampolsky ~ [Source]
It is interesting to see couples walking down the street hand in hand and looking at each other lovingly without much care about their surroundings. How we stay and maintain relationships are in fact related to our environment that we grow up in.
However, how do we measure love? Is there really a scale for that? Do we measure love by the amount of time spent with the person or the gifts that were given during major holidays? While love is being debated on the different types of love, how does one know that one is being neglected? You can’t measure love on a scale.
Time article has it said quite well:
As for love, which Menninger accused him of ignoring, Kinsey asked: “How can you measure love? Nobody knows how to approach it scientifically. We shall never write about love, but that doesn’t mean that I as an individual don’t recognize its value.”
Can you really measure love? What do you think?
