Siblings are the people we practice on, the people who teach us about fairness and cooperation and kindness and caring – quite often the hard way. ~Pamela Dugdale ~ [Source]
In any relationship, quarrels are bound to happen and as parents with children, you will have to witness your children quarreling over who should play with the red toy car, Barbie Doll and kitchen set. Sometimes, they fight because they want the parent’s attention.
Other times, siblings fight with each other because the elder brother’s iPod or headphones was spoiled due to mishandling. Sisters fight because the nail polish was used up and it wasn’t replaced. Children need to know that they need to take care of things even when it doesn’t belong to them.
Sharing of toys among children is something that requires patience as they tend to think of themselves while forgetting that others need to have a chance to play too. When the right priorities are instilled into the children, they will not fight over who will look after the sick parents when the time arrives.
Have you quarreled with your siblings before? How did it stop?
