This is an age-old question. You read posts in forums asking about the right time to marry, right age to marry and right person to marry. How do you know it’s the best age to marry? You don’t. Men go ahead to commit when they feel it’s time.
Women needs to reproduce thus the hurry to get married early. The optimal age for pregnancy has been said to be from 21 to 25. That’s the best as it gives the body time to recover from the weight of carrying babies for 9 to 10 months.
Women tend to age faster after each pregnancy too. This is due to hormones being changed during and after the pregnancy. Cold hard fact.
No one knows for sure when it is a good time to get married just as when it is a good time to find a boyfriend or girlfriend. Everyone hopes to have the plans fall into their scheduled time in a neat manner but life is unpredictable.
If life is that predictable, you wouldn’t have met that nice man who is now your husband after your ex left you for another. You could be 30 and just married. There are couples who planned for children 2 years after their marriage but 5 years later, still no young child running around them. Others adopt only to find out they are pregnant just a few months later after the adopted child has arrived.
Some prefer to marry once their financial status has stablised, when they are in their 40s or 50s, that’s when they can’t find anyone to date, let alone marry. Some married in their late teens only to discover that the partner just wasn’t suitable or mature to handle a family.
Some hesitate to marry because they can’t imagine themselves as married and unable to do things that they are used to doing and have to change because of a married life. Others hesitate as they don’t want to marry the wrong person.
Do you believe in being the right age to marry?
