Why do people persist in a dissatisfying relationship, unwilling either to work toward solutions or end it and move on? It’s because they know changing will lead to the unknown, and most people believe that the unknown will be much more painful than what they’re already experiencing. ~ Anthony Robbins ~ [Source]
[via Flickr] Relationships aren’t supposed to be one-sided. Any relationship is a two-way street. Just like communications. You learn from past failed relationships to get to this current one. Even after marriage, there is still a need to keep working on maintaining a healthy relationship.
No one said maintaining a relationship was easy. You need patience, some common goals, love, understanding, trust and other things to keep this soup brewing. One of the most important thing I have learnt is that communication is the key to keep it going.
You don’t want to be dating the wrong man only to realise later that he isn’t the one. No matter how long the two of you have been together, a relationship is like a plant, it needs love, nurturing, patience and communication for maintenance.
Long distance relationships are not easy to keep. They need more efforts and both parties would have to work together as a team to make it work. Otherwise, there is no point in continuing breaking your own hearts. It takes 5 positives to replace 1 negative in a relationship.
